How a Prestige saddleis born
The hands of our craftsmen are continuously striving for excellence along the whole production process, thus constantly improving and innovating our working method. This is how we craft our saddles, which are considered real manufacturing gems.
01. Selection and cutting
Everything starts with a meticulous selection of the leather directly at the tanneries where we source the materials from, which must comply with our technical and production requirements. We also carry out inspections on our premises following delivery. Each piece is carefully checked to make sure there are no abrasions or scars. Only when the materials have passed all of these inspections do we start cutting.
02. Processing and packaging
After cutting the leather, we check each piece once again to make sure there are no imperfections that were not detected during the previous inspections. If the material passes this test, we make it available for processing. We use the same care during packaging too, which is specifically designed and made to measure.
03. Assembly and stitching
The last steps include assembly and stitching, which is done exclusively by hand by our craftsmen, according to Italian manufacturing tradition. This last procedure is carried out using a special curved needle, specific for saddles, that allows us to precisely stitch hides together. The final outcome is a unique saddle, amazing to the touch and with a great look.
